Stevensville Information

Stevensville Maryland which is located on Kent Island was originally inhabited by Native Americans who were members of the Matapeake Tribe. During the 16th and 17th centuries the area was first seen by explorers such as Captain John Smith. In August of 1631 the island became an English settlement. Kent Island was originally a farming community. Later, many of the islands inhabitants worked as waterman. As the seafood industry grew the waterman capitalized on the abundant supply of blue crabs, rockfish and oysters. The area is rich in history and to this day we still have farmers and watermen working the land and waters around the island.

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge was completed in 1952 allowing for ease in travel between the Western and Eastern Shores. In 1973 an additional span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge was added to accommodate the ever-growing travel between the shores. This allowed Stevensville to become a viable option for those wishing to enjoy a water-oriented lifestyle while still being able to commute to Washington, DC, Baltimore and surrounding areas for work.

Lisa was not only a great realtor but a fabulous person. Our sale included a reverse mortgage and the buyers needed. 203k loan. This is very hard to do. Lisa, put in so many hours not only selling our homebut finding another for us. She spent many hours showing property, returning calls and writing contracts. She is as honest as the day is long. I surely hope we can keep a good friend like her. Frank and Lynn
Hello From a Very satisfied Client! I just closed on my condo in Arnold, MD on Monday, with the help of Lisa Longest. She proved to be a fantastic person to have on my side! She offered me her guarantee to sell my home in under 120 days or she will waive her commission, but wow! We did not come anywhere near that. I had an offer in 17 days and Lisa was totally accessible through the entire process. She made an unfamiliar process for me somewhat enjoyable actually! Thanks Lisa and thank you Exit Gold Realty. This letter is in reference to the splendid service rendered to me by your agent, Lisa Longest, in the recent sale of my home. From the beginning of the sale process, Mrs. Longest explained to me what I could expect as to the procedure that would take place. She assisted me in preparing my home for showings. She let me know when the showings would take place, and she made certain that I received feedback about my home. Mrs. Longest was honest about the things I needed to so to enhance the sale of my home. She was diligent and tenacious. It was indeed a pleasure to work with her. Exit Gold Realty has a fine gem in Mrs. Longest. I would gladly recommend her to my friends and acquaintances. Geraldine H
